‘How to a millionaire’ is not grammatically correct, that is obvious. So, why is it then that Google’s very own keyword research tool tells us that this incorrectly worded search phrase was typed into the search engines a massive 33,100 times in December? Is it because we live in a world of illiterate people, or is there a completely different reason behind this strange fact?

Well all that I can give you here is my own personal opinion, based on hundreds if not thousands of hours researching and building my own online business. It is my belief that people are not necessarily illiterate, but what they are is pretty lazy when it comes to internet searches these days.

Too many of us have realised that all you have to do is key in the basics of what you are looking for and Google’s very clever LSI technology (latent semantic indexing) will pretty much deliver exactly what you are looking for. So, if you ever wake up in the morning a  nd think to yourself ‘I want to be a millionaire’ then you can cut that thought right down and simply Google something along the lines of ‘how to a millionaire’ and the search engine will more than likely know exactly what you are looking for.

The interesting thing for anyone wanting to get some good free traffic from the search engines is to understand that finding keywords such as ‘how to a millionaire’ can often turn out to be gold mines for you. Let me continue by using the same example.

If you drop the same phrase back in to Google but this time add "quotes" around the search term, Google will report back only those indexed pages which have been optimised around that exact search term. Surprisingly in this case there are only nineteen web pages coming up on Google’s results page. Having such a low number of competitors means one simple thing.
