  • Chris:

There are steps missing that I cannot figure out.. Specifically, the process needs to go from somebody buying the website and paying for it with paypal. When they buy it with paypal, it should take them to the webhosting option. This is where the questions start.

1st: Where does the buyer make his choice about hosting and how do I get him from the purchase website page (on eBay) to my page where he makes the choice?

Chris - after you have competed the auction on eBay send your client a welcome email (it should be a template which you can simply copy and paste over again. This email should direct your buyer to your upsell page detailing your vdeo services. I would recommend that you copy/paste the screen shots from my site showing proof of page one rankings again, because it is the proof element which will give you a virtually guaranteed upsell. On that page should be ANOTHER link to ANOTHER Paypal page - and it is here that your client will pay for the hosting. (Also remember that all of your Paypal buttons can have individually controlled re-direct and thank you pages, so you can send your clients to any page you want after they have signed up…

2nd: How does the buyer get from the webhosting upsell page to the video upsell page?

If I am reading your question right Chris, then they are one and the same thing. Just start with your welcome email and send them to your video/hosting upsell page!

  • Fozzy:

Where do I get paid for the video service off of the clients Chris?

Fozzy - check your other question as I just answered it for you - :)

  • Chris:

I sold my first website and went through the upsell pages with the buyer. She has elected to go with the hosting but not the 5 extra videos.

The training video says to go to GoDaddy and change the forwarding. I did this exactly like the video said to. But that only steers the domain to the canned affiliate site. How do I go about embedding the video into her website and how do I go about getting the website hosted on HostGator?

OK - let’s clarify this…Your video (or HER video) is there purely to drive traffic to her domain…NOTHING ELSE…without traffic she will not make any sales - with your video results she gets the traffic and therefore the sales. The video you create gets uploaded to the video sites and VOILA! That’s it…the traffic generated via the link in your video (or your title txt) sends the traffic to her Clickbank sales page…This way of selling on eBay Dominator is a very simple business in a box - don’t over complicate it, the idea is to sell these sites in multiples…

  • Chris:

As an addition to my previous post I have some additional questions.

1: I advertised a website for sale with, presumably, some added value above and beyond the standard affiliate site for the product. How, exactly (step by step, please), do I deliver that added value to my client?

Your added value with eBay Dominator is the page one rank with your videos. What is the good of a website with no traffic?

2: Do I need to send all the image files and website HTML to the client?

I am assuming that you are on eBay Dominator selling CB sites. If that is the case then there is nothing to send your client, apart from the domain info if they are hosting it themselves, or the account access info on your Hostgator Reseller account if you are hosting it for them. If you are not selling CB sites via a re-direct then let me know and I will give you the relevant answer.

3: Do I e-mail the 1 video to the client?

No - the, although there is nothing to stop you doing that if they are going to distribute it to the video hosting sites themselves. However, the main reson that they will be paying you is for YOU to upload it via Tubemogul, individually or fully automatically via Traffic Geyser.

4: What about the promised “buying keywords” that will be revealed only to the winning bidder? How do you recommend I deliver those and with what instructions on how to use them?

Good question. The buying keywords are chosen by YOU and not the bidder. Make sure that they are very relevant to the product and have less than 300,000 competing sites on Google when you search for them - here is an example…

Wrong way to search - dogs in lapland
RIGHT way to search - “dogs in lapland”

Part of your upsell strategy is to offer them more keywords for extra monthly fees. In this instance there would be nothing wrong for you to allow them to choose thier keywords, just as long as you give them the guidelines as set out above. This upsell is one of the easiest you have.

  • Chris:

I think this will be my last question on eBay Dominator (thank God, eh?).

How do we go about charging the domain transfer and account set-up fee? If we list it as shipping, that does not present well on the eBay searches. I have clearly stated the charge in my listing but I’m just not sure how to go about charging it.

    Thanks.

Chris…another good question…you need to be careful as eBay do not like additional fees AFTER the auction. They do not mind OPTIONAL fees but not fees which are obligatory but not charged for IN the auction itself. Although you may have stated the charge in your auction it does not mean that eBay accept your clause if it was ever challenged. I am only saying this to help, so don’t worry too much. I would either leave it as shipping or forget it about it totally and concentrate on 2 things -

1 - What you get for your domain is what you get. PERIOD.
    2 - Your video up-sell should get 75% PLUS.

    Hope that helps. C.

  • Chris:

One final detail to clear up for me Chris. Should I be providing them with 1 video included in their bid price or should ALL videos be upsells? In other words, should I be providing no video with the bid price and only offer the 5 video upsell? With my first sale, I provided 1 video to the winning bidder at no extra charge. I think I lost out on that deal.

Put it down as a learning curve, but remember from now on - NO CHARITY…

  • hakim:

Hello…I am not a member but could you tell if I can quickly get approved by ebay to list multiple auctions?

Hakim - take the free trial for a week you have got nothing to lose. Sure I can answer that for you. You need to get a point score of TEN before eBay will lift certain restrictions on your account. You can do this within about an hour but it will cost you around $10. Simply buy 10 e-books or other similar items priced at $0.99 which carry free postage and packaging. Then immediately email the seller informing them that you have paid for the item(s) via Paypal and request positive feedback. You may have to stretch it to fifteen purchases depending on how quickly the sellers get back to you and how keen you are to get started. Hope to see you on the inside (it’s much more friendly :) )

  • Chris:

Last night I sold another website, a hosting upsell and a video upsell (1st sale opted out of both). The hosting for him has been all set up (forward to his CB hoplink, etc.) I have produced his videos but now I don’t know what to DO with them? Do I e-mail them to him or put them up on Hostgator or what?

Also, should I provide usernames and passwords to the customers who choose to host with me?

    Thanks

Chris - You need to upload the videos via either Tubemogul or Traffic Geyser in order to get them listed on Google. Make sure you choose the keywords carefully as you need to deliver first page results. As for Hostgator, yes if you have opened up a Reseller account then they can have the log in details, but make sure you have created an account FOR them (i.e. do not give them your main account info). This is done in WHM and there is a video in the member’s area to show you.

  • Chris:

Clarification to that last inquiry…..should I provide usernames and passwords to the Hostgator account to my customers who choose to host with me?

    Chris - answered already, ok?

  • Michael:

    Hi Chris
You Sent a link to the “Master User Manual” on the old site, comments… any chance of getting that link again.
    Thanks
    Michael

Mike - are you afert the Master User manual to the BANS software?

  • Chris:

I just got my first buyer who opted out of hosting with me. I changed the nameservers in GoDaddy. But now I’m confused (again). What do I send him, if anything? Do I instruct him to have his hosting service forward his domain name to his CB Hoplink for the affiliate site?

Firstly WELL DONE! Here is all you need to do…ask him for his DNS 1 and DNS 2 (he will have therm already as he will have a hosting account of his own somweher else). Go into Godaddy and change the existing DNS to point to HIS host. Once this is done copy and paste the URL of the Clickbank domain you have been forwarding to making sure you replace your personal hoplink with XXX (just for privacy, not crucial). Inform him that when he has set his account up on his own server he will have to make sure that the domain is pointing to HIS Clickbank account and HIS hoplink (if he does not have an existing Clickbank account then you can easily point him in the right direction to do this).

  • Chris:

Chris….I am using your techniques for keyword searching as well as a couple of others I have stumbled upon and I am having great success getting my videos (and my clients’) on page one. I have even had as many as 5 spots on page one just last week. But my CB account remains empty. What are your suggestions to make my videos convert more efficiently? I splash the domain name throughout the video as well as in the video descriptions but still no luck. Any ideas? Thanks and keep up the good work!

Hi Chris - I have been away for a few days, sorry for the quietness. The whole idea of this is to target keywords with little competition but which are BUYING keywords. For example you could get on page one for the term ‘photos of Erin Brokovich” but why would you want to? However if your kw research is good then you can find terms such as ‘Sony Bravia 52 inch KTRHHX’ and make a killing. I am going to show you how to do this and how to get paid selling PHYSICAL products. Clickbank is good, but we need to move one now…
