When I try to submit a new link I get the following error message. So far its happened on all but the first link I submitted.

“This URL has been widely reported by users for one of the following reasons: being used to spam Digg’s submission process, posting spam content, or posting off-topic content”

Is there a solution to this problem or is there another way I can submit adverts onto google.

Alastair - Digg gives this warning to EVERY post it receives (tens of thousands a day) - simply ignore it and scroll down to the bottom of the submission page and submit - :)

Alastair - Digg does that on every submission it receives - it is not you, don’t worry. Simply scroll down to the bottom of the page and submit your post - it will get through.

Hi there - I am just about to start on Digg it! but can I ask something - can I put my affiliate link into my submission?

Yes D but do not use a clickbank url…let me give you an example…

If your product is water4gas then use the water4gas website url with your affiliate hoplink placed in there…do not use the word clickbank in your Digg submission as you will not get it through - if you need more help then just shout!

Hi Robin - what happened with Digg?

  • Stephen:

    Hi Chris,

First of all I want to thank you for sharing your secrets with myself and the other members on here.

I have leant a lot and I have already managed to get to the top of Google.

I followed your Digg tutorial on how to use a Clickbank product and get your affiliate page to the top of Google and although I managed to get the product to the top, when I tried to order the product through my link there was no sign of my affiliate nickname at the bottom of the page.

It’s great that I managed to get the product to the top of Google but I won’t make any commission on it as there’s my nickname is missing etc

I followed your instructions correctly and made sure that I entered the correct url with my nickname at the bottom so I have no idea why it didn’t work?

Could you tell me how to fix this problem?

Many thanks & keep up the great work.

    Best

    Stephen

Stephen, thanks for the kind words…please let me see the url of your Digg submission so that I can correct it for you.

  • Ed:

Chris I was reviewing the vids on Digg and have a couple of questions.
    1) When you used the Google Keyword tool I noticed you had it ‘tailored for’ English United states. Is there any reason for this setting and not ‘All Countries’?
2)Is it possible submit a cloaked affiliate link in Digg - ie cloaked using Ninja Link Cloaker tool or similar?
    Cheers, Ed.

Generally Ed I would always use All Countries…I must have been on drugs when I did the vid! As for cloaking - Digg checks to see if your proposed URL has a redirection on it and will bounce it out if it does…

  • andy dwyer:

Hi Chris I posted a few questions this morning on both this blog and the main one but they are now not there?????

    Andy.

Andy - questions should not just disappear - the only reason I can think of is if the Akismet Plug In which monitors SPAM on a Wordpress blog thinks what you have posted is spammy…

  • Mark:

    Hi Chris,

Excellent info - well worth the cost.

The Digg is excellent except that the “http://www.website.com/?hop=affiliateID” does not work (as it doesn’t with pay dot com products).

Is there a way around this?

    Thanks,

Mark - Digg has picked up that a lot of affiliates are using sites such as theirs to promote their own products. This is not really what Social Bookmarking sites were originally created for, and this is why they are stopping ‘hoplinks’ etc…The easiest way round this is to register your own domain name for a few pennies and then when Digg approve your bookmark, simply go into Godaddy and re-direct your domain to the Clickbank product you wish to promote - :)

    Mark.
